No matter how competent the ROOSTER is, their dreams may be too farfetched and overambitious to suffer many disappointments in life. The ROOSTER needs to recognize the fact that the ROOSTER cannot change the world in a single day. What they need most in everything they undertake is restraint, moderation and a firm hand to direct their irrepressible energies. It would do well for the ROOSTER to have a large family as they need a cheering Squad to bring out the best in them. The controversial ROOSTER might peck the formidable SNAKE. Either the SNAKE will love the ROOSTER or be unable to bear the sound of the ROOSTER. It can say they are fiercely competitive in life. The ROOSTER also can light up the rigid OX. The ROOSTER likes the outgoing and ambitious DRAGON. Two ROOSTERS are not compatible at all because they might fight all the time. The intimate RAT cannot be in harmony with the ROOSTER. The fighting ROOSTER cannot find happiness with the sensitive RABBIT. The loyal DOG has frosty relationship with the selfish ROOSTER. They may work together but not be a perfect couple.

The DOG is honest, intelligent and straightforward and has a deep sense of loyalty, a passion for justice. They are not too demanding and know how to get along with others because they are very serious about their responsibilities. The DOG is the natural listener and cannot ignore a call for help no matter how much they complain. They are able to spot the good guys, the bad guys and know how to classify them. They may not be too rude to accuse people, but they will be watching them from the corner carefully. When they are on your side, it will be difficult to shake them off. The mad DOG has a good idea of how the legal system works and won't come after people without that warrant. On the whole, the DOG is violent only when they are attacked. They work hard when they have to or want to. Yet, while they are tolerant of and acquiescent to their friends, they can be critical of and emotionally cold to people they dislike. The DOG is a pessimist and tends to expect the trouble and worries about unnecessary things. They can make a good judge as they spare no one, not even themselves. This is because the DOG will wield influence on important people through their advice to get resources even when they don’t have direct power. That’s why people trust their sense of discretion; however, it is hard to influence the unprejudiced DOG once they make up their mind. When Mr. DOG is right, they can be obstinate and unbending. When they are getting nowhere with anger, they will take their fights out to the open and to underhanded methods in order to win. He is one person who can carry on revolutionary activities with a pacifist's views. Ms. DOG is a cooperative, unprejudiced, and thoughtful person. She prefers simple and casual dress in all situations and enjoys dancing, swimming, tennis or any other lively outdoor activity. To Ms. DOG’s family, she gives them freedom and is their friend, however, to others, she gives her loyalty very slowly even as she always smiles to people. You have to come over to her house for tea, and then invite her over to try your homemade cupcakes. When she feels right about you, you get her loyalty friendship in her little black book under the heading Friend. Whenever you need her, she comes to rescue. The DOG is tough and never easy to trust others. They do their best to bring out the good in their workforce and can take a lot of stress without complaining. Once people win their trust, they will completely place their faith and give undivided support. A Dog who is born at night is to be more aggressive than one born during the day. Dogs of all seasons have little need of life and provide well for throughout their lives; therefore, the DOG is usually not materialistic and doesn’t care very much about money. The HORSE, the RABBIT, the TIGER are compatible with the DOG. The RAT, the SNAKE, the MONKEY, the BOAR, or another DOG does not have conflict with the DOG in life. The overconfident DRAGON can enrage the unprejudiced DOG to pour cold water over their thinking. The insensitive DOG cannot tolerate the constant complaints SHEEP.

The BOAR is honest, simple, with great fortitude, gallant, sturdy, courageous person. People can rely on their strength and may find the pure gold from scratching their surface. The BOAR is an original nice person but quiet organizer, who hates arguments and bickering, to bring people together. They believe in loyalty and the thoughtfulness that make lasting and beneficial friendships in life; therefore, they always take the first step forward and establish excellent relationship with others. Their credibility and sincerity are their best assets. As a matter of fact, the BOAR is too innocent, naïve but they may be smarter than people can think of. While they may appear gullible, they actually know how to keep their profits in an inoffensive way to allow people to jump into the hole they want people to do. Yet, the BOAR can be a bit too affable and condescending at times. They also expect others to tolerate the way they pursue pleasure and even depravity. The BOAR simply helps people until people cannot handle things without them. They don’t dazzle people like the DRAGON, nor bewitch people like the MONKEY or TIGER, nor mesmerize people like a hypnotic SNAKE. They don’t mind taking up people’s burdens and even supporting them totally. They are the kind of person people for people to trust and to depend on because they can have incredible patience to work steadily on one thing at a time. They are calm, understanding and good listeners to tolerate a lot of nonsense from their friends. The BOAR has strong passions. They trust everyone and believe almost anything people tell them; even if they are strangers or people they know superficially. Unselfish and unassuming make them win more back from their friends. They are the perfect friend, forever willing to do people another favor, or led people another dollar. Maybe this explains why they are so lucky! However, the BOAR likes to compete with themselves and push themselves to perform Herculean feats. The secret of their success lies in their good faith, generosity and resilience. At times, it seems they own the Horn of Plenty. The BOAR are materialist, soft-hearted and too sympathetic to others. Most of the BOAR's problems stem from their overgenerousity because they do too much for others and promise more than they can deliver. They love to share what they have and also believe “two-way share” philosophy. Mr. BOAR may be generoous and money for him could be, "easy come, easy go". He will help himself to share friends’ food, friends’ wine, friends’ clothes, friends’ new golf set, friends’ latest camera, friends’ car, etc, if his friend tells him off, he responds with great disbelief and hurt. He doesn’t understand people’s one-way share. Ms. BOAR are either spotlessly clean or terrible untidy. She will devote all her energy and ask for very little in return. People are able to identify her pure ways for trusting. She can play the perfect hostess to her husband's parties and spoil the children. She is a good listener and will do whatever she can to comfort her children’s wounds because she looks upon them not as burdens but as her pride and joy. When she does complain, it will be mild. The honest BOAR gives love with all their heart. They don’t know how to camouflage their emotions. If they are hurt in love, they can carry their torch and bear their burden uncomplainingly for years. The generous BOAR will have a happy life with the quiet and sagacious RABBIT or the gentle SHEEP. The understanding BOAR will get along well with the TIGER. Two BOARs have no serious conflicts but may not be too stimulating. The two-way share philosophy BOAR will have problems with the selfish MONKEY. The honest BOAR will not feel compatible with the sleek SNAKE.
